Keyhole Scarf

- I truly love this yarn it is a nylon blend… but it is the softest stuff ever, and really everything can’t be wool!

Finally stopped procrastinating...

And yet I still didn’t take you any pictures… but I will today!

It was a busy weekend… I managed to avoid a football game Saturday and spent my day getting lots of S&P items ready to go.  A couple of *completed* tasks from the weekend:

  • Blocked & Labled the two Zig Zag Berets, and added cute vintage buttons…
  • Finished labeling and adding vintage buttons to the Cabled Wrap-Around
  • Finished knitting the latest Princeton Lace Scarf, needs to be blocked tonight
  • Packaged and priced all the vintage jewelry & items I’ve made for the etsy shop thus far
  • Went yarn shopping with my mom :) … got a few new skeins in pretty colors for fall

I think that is about it :) But yeah it was a busy weekend and a really fun one! Sooo….. pics soon!

PS- will cast on for a cream keyhole scarf next!

Picture taking at some point very soon - I finished up the keyhole scarf and the princeton lace scarf!  Both of which look very nice.  I also figure I’ll finish up another flowered headband today.

Yesterday I took some time to write down a full out listing of what has to be done before I open the etsy shop.  Here’s the run down - two more cabled wrap-arounds, one more keyhole or princeton lace scarf, finishing up my belts with flower accent (still in pieces as they have been for 2 months).  Anyhow I’m setting a goal of SOON.  In the meantime I did get up my banner and shop policies!  That counts for something, right?

The Keyhole Scarf - up close and personal…. see the slits so that you can pass the scarf through and always have it wrapped perfectly? yay!

Eating my words...

So the other day I said that I thought knitting was a people repellant… well, apparently it is opposite week! As soon as that came out of my mouth people on the train have been talking to me about my work, though granted I was still sitting by myself :) haha.

  • Two days ago my train buddy and another lady who always rides were asking what the differences were between crochet and knitting.  They then promptly gave me a hard time for knitting a scarf in 90 degree weather… hahaha… just becuase no one would wear it right now doesn’t mean I can’t knit it :)
  • Yesterday a girl on the train asked me what I was working on - turned out she knits and crochets as well, and had on a very cool crocheted bracelet cuff. She loved my new design for the key hole scarf and said it was ‘genius’! I don’t know about that… but I will take the compliments :)
  • This morning a nice lady that I’ve talked to before about knitting and crochet was asking me how I know where to pull the yarn from on a skein… and then said she used to crochet and was going to try it again she thought after watching me work.

All of this is to say that it has actually been a great week for meeting people on the train.  So maybe if I say… ‘no one will ever buy anything from me,’ the opposite of that would happen too! Sweet deal.

in happier news

  • I finished the precious baby booties last night!
  • The Princeton Lace scarf is now blocked and beautifully flat :)
  • My updated logo stamps arrived yesterday afternoon, quite adorable!
  • I don’t know that I mentioned this yesterday, but the Clemson bag is completely knitted and just waiting for me to felt!
  • And I started on a new pattern for a knitted keyhole scarf this morning on the train…
Needless to say, I have a huge load of pictures that I’ll be uploading this evening… woohoo for some things going the RIGHT way :)
